Keelo Writes / Books of Hope and Resilience

Urban fiction that captures the grit and grace of recovery. Stories of resilience and the quiet strength found in the modern city.

The Woman Behind the Pen

Keelo Writes was built from real life -- the good, the bad, the mistakes, the healing, and everything in between. My writing comes from places I've actually had to survive, and I use those experiences to create stories that are raw, emotional, and honest.

I write about recovery, relationships, faith, survival, second chances, and the parts of life people don't always talk about. Whether I'm writing urban fiction or sharing pieces of my own journey, my goal is simple: make people feel something, see themselves in the story, and remember that their story isn't over.

Born Into It

The prequel to Free High -- Before Kelz became the person readers met in Free High, there was a whole story that shaped her. Born Into It takes readers back to where it all began -- the environment, the losses, the choices, and the experiences that came before the story you already know.

Stories With Purpose

From urban fiction to real-life recovery stories, I write about the things people live through but don't always talk about. Every story has a piece of truth, growth, struggle, and survival in it.

Recovering Out Loud

More than a book -- a movement centered around healing, honesty, recovery, and giving people the courage to keep going.

What Recovery Taught Me

Recovery taught me that healing isn't always pretty, growth isn't always comfortable, and starting over doesn't mean you failed. Sometimes it means you finally chose yourself.
